Happy Birthday to me

In the days that I haven't posted, I've had to wake up at 5 AM TWICE!!!!!!! But it was worth it. We went to a city called Datong, which has a beautiful temple called the Hanging Temple (which hangs off a cliff)! Then we also went to another city called Xi'an which is where the Terracotta Warriors are! I promise when I download the pics on my computer I'll post them on here! And now today is my birthday... And my parents are sleeping! Come on, I am only gonna be 12 ONCE! Oh well, today we will go to Hou Hai, a little lake with tiny little battery boats which I get to drive!!! Then tomorrow we go to Mongolia!!!!! :D weehehe

Quick History of China

The Chinese Monarchy grew over 2000 years but never was a prosperous an happy time for China. The Chinese Revolution ended the monarchy system, and Communism to control of China. The period until The Communist government is overthrown will be a bittersweet one for Communism helped China prosper immensely but Chinese citizens have not many fair rights. Hong-Kong was part of England as a colony from 1841 to 1997, when England gave back Hong-Kong. Part of Hong-Kong was on a 99-year lease and the rest was already owned/colonized by England. When the Hong-Kong lease was over, it was only reasonable for England to give up the rest since England was economically, financially, and militaryily exhausted because of the Second World War. China has been somewhat prosperous and safe and is doing pretty well on economical terms.

Heyo

China has been pretty cool so far! I bought a jade bracelet and a little clossiene (enamel) horse! This is so exciting! Somethings I could skip, like the Forbidden City (have you seen the line?)! Beijing, China is a very clean city but is always hazy because of pollution. We went to the Great Wall and yesterday we went to a crumbling city named Chanduxia, which is over 500 years old, which is older than the U.S.A.! Quick history lesson on the age of the U.S.A.: If you consider the signing of the Declaration of Independence the birth of the U.S. then it is 229 years old, if you consider the making of the Constitution and putting rules in place, then the U.S. is 216 years old. But if you consider when England released the U.S. from its ownership, then the U.S. is 222 years old.

Crazy Day

Today I went on a SHOPPING SPREE!
at Delamo Mall with my mom! Of course we were shopping only at the stores outside (the stores inside are tacky an scary)!!!! We went to 21 Forever ( a branch of Forever 21) which is a random store with lots of cute stuff, we went to this boutique called Irene's Story (think Boho Chic), and we went to Anthropologie (boho classic)!!! Afterwards, a lunch at (I was craving) Johnny Rockets. Afterwards we gave the dogs a bath, and watched Toddlers and Tiaras (Dance Moms is better)!!! I'll post tomorrow some fun pics!!!

Repost

Hey guys! my old pictures aren't showing up so I'l Re-post them.

Sunday

Hey Guys! Sorry I didn't write on Sunday but, I was so tired and busy!  I had a dressage lesson with the tack bit, which can be found at Mary's Tack and Feed. But my trainer searched for it, and on Dover Saddlery.com it called an Abrasive Caveson noseband. Anyways, Like I said on Sunday, the horse had a fit, but my trainer liked it when we did his weak side (left) right to left flying change. Ethica was ignoring or missing the change on a diagonal, but got  it on the half turn to reverse. If your horse misses changes on a diagonal start him on half turns to reverse and slowly make the turns bigger and trick the pony into doing the change. I'll right today's post later, after I go shopping!

Saturday!!!

This is the post you'll usually get on a Saturday, along with some funny or nice pictures!! Anyways,I had an... Interesting lesson! Ethica (my horse) and I were doing a course and the beast wasn't getting the lead change! So Linda (my trainer) gave me her inch long spurs... I took the course and that horse got the change and started running like he was at Santa Anita race track!!!! That was when Linda introduced me to the TACK NOSE BAND!!!!! It is a USDA approved noseband with small dull spikes that put pressure on the horse's nose and head... Tomorrow I get to test it out with my dressage trainer. Ethica's gonna have a fit, but... *sigh* he'll have to deal! Anyways I'll have to buy big spurs and the only place they sell the noseband in my area is at Mary's Tack and Feed in Delmar(Mary's is amazing if you are in or near Delmar, check out Mary's or even check the website!)!!!! Well I might post more fun pics or even a couple of me doing Crossrails division at Delmar County Horse Show!!! Bii now!

Pretty Pics

Just thought the view was so nice, I had to share! Great weather to ride in, albeit being a little windy! :D

I just thought these were Extremely cute and thought they were worth sharing!
I'll post a real article later today but I just couldn't resist this NOW! But I would rather have the horse!!!!
I have the SAME EXACT PANTS!!!!!!!!

All about me

We've all been hard at work, surviving the long school hours. But now that summer is out, we can finally do new things or pursue old things. Or polish up on things you've always done. Let me go back, Hi! My name is Maria and I'm training to be competitive horseback rider. I own and show my bay 16.3 hand (one hand is 4 inches) Hanoverian gelding, Ethica or Ethically Blu. He's my beautiful lovely guy and I don't thing I could get up in the morning without him. I've been riding for 9 (almost 10) years but I've been riding and training as a competitive show jumper (I do hunters though :) ) for two years with my wonderful trainer, Linda Cooper of Maverick Farms (check it out) at Peter Weber Equestrian Center in Rolling Hills, CA! This summer, I'll be traveling, and riding ALOT! I'll be helping with pony camp at Linda's and I'll be getting ready for ETI and Portuguese Bend!!! Wish me luck!!
